The Town of Coats provides weekly curbside solid waste collection and limited bulk item pickup for residential customers. Please follow these guidelines to ensure your items are collected:
Weekly Trash
- All garbage and refuse must be placed in regulation roll-out containers for collection.
- Regular household trash only, no bulky items, construction debris, carpet, tires, or glass.
Bulk Household Items & White Goods
The Town will collect up to three (3) items per week per household of bulk household waste.
Eligible items include:
- Furniture
- TVs
- Mattresses and box springs
- Appliances (refrigerators, washers, dryers, water heaters, stoves, ovens, etc.)
Bulk Collection Guidelines:
- Each item must be no larger than 7 feet and weigh no more than 300 pounds.
- Items must be placed at the curb (in the right-of-way) by 7:00 a.m. Monday morning.
- If more than 3 items are placed curbside, the Town may not collect any of them.
- The Town will not collect: storage unit contents, construction debris (such as shingles, sheetrock, lumber, windows, or doors), carpet, tires, or glass.
Non-Compliance
If items placed for pickup are not allowed under Town guidelines, the resident will be notified to remove them.
- Items not removed within 10 days are considered a nuisance.
- Items deemed hazardous must be removed within 24 hours.
